About me

I offer a safe, judgment-free space for people to explore whatever difficult experiences they may be going through. With over five years of experience as a counselor, I have learned that counseling works best when the person feels that they can say the unsayable.

Crucially, I don't tell people what to do, or even what they need to do. I believe that no-one knows the individual better than that individual themselves and the best thing I can offer is attentive listening and the ability to reflect experiences accurately and clearly, offering the perspective that might be hard to attain when you're in the middle of a situation.

My professional experience has taught when it works well counseling provides a way for a person to understand themselves and their situation better, and through that equip them to make clearer decisions and embrace change.

If all this sounds a little lofty, then rest assured that in person I am very down to earth. Entering into counseling for the first time is nerve-wracking enough without worrying about someone talking abstract psycho babble.

I am licensed in the UK with Over 10 years of professional work experience.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence.

I’ve been working with Peter for several weeks now and always found him to be direct, make me question myself where I need too and he has given me tools to cope with my anxiety and my complex situation. It’s a long journey of recovery but I am confident that in working with Peter we will get there. Highly recommend.

Incredibly thoughtful, considerate and articulate. He really wants to get to the bottom of my concerns without simply giving me quick fix techniques. He challenges my responses and helps me consider alternative thought processes.
