Phyllis Lonneman, LPCC
About me
I have been an attorney for 40 years, college professor, mediator and finally when I began thinking about slowing down, I decided that all the years of working with divorce clients, criminal clients, abused children and adults gave me the background to help people in another way. My background leads me to believe labels should not apply to adults or children in therapy. It takes a huge amount of courage to seek help from a stranger but the reward of living a happier life makes it worth the your time. No one likes change but sometimes change is good and a challenge. My approach when working with clients is the person-centered approach and we work together for the your good.
The best way to describe how I work with my clients is with passion and genuine concern for their progress in becoming a better version of themselves.

She's been very patient with how hesitant I've been in therapy, and open for me to direct our initial session. It was great.

Phyllis's guidance and support has been exactly what I needed. She listens and offers up various tools that I may use to get my back on track to where I want to be. She's quick to respond and I truly feel that I have some one out there who is on my "team" - I can go to her and know that I'm in a safe space with no judgment, just caring and support. It's been a huge help to me during challenging times. I highly recommend her.
