About me

I am licensed in New York with over 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience in treating and diagnosing depression, anxiety, stress management, perinatal, substance use and various other areas. I have held my professional LMHC for 9 years. Currently I hold my NYS license in MH counseling, CASAC-Masters (Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor), NCC (National Certified Counselor) and PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification). I utilize in my therapy a Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused approach. The style of therapy is based on your personal needs in therapy and the identification of your goals. I explore and learn about you, to understand you, including your past and current life experiences. Together, we will travel through a journey of healing, increase positive self reflection and process difficult presenting issues as well. This is your therapy and I will strive to give you a positive and rewarding experience. I believe in being genuine and kind to everyone. I also believe that there is no definition of what deems the need for therapy. The important aspect of this to me is that no matter what you would like to discuss, it is of value and holds a purpose to you and to me.

I would be privileged to have the opportunity to work with you and be part of your journey in therapy.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Rachael Morris. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Morris is highly professional and knowledgeable in her field. She listens carefully to my concerns and always responds in a thoughtful, constructive manner. She always puts me at ease in each session and creates a safe atmosphere. I particularly like the flexibility that she has created within our sessions, truly allowing them to be catered towards my changing needs. I am able to comfortably approach each session with the knowledge that whatever my struggle(s) are for that week, she is happy to talk them through. Her flexibility allows me to get the most out of each session, which is not something I have found in other therapists. Overall a very kind and helpful therapist!

After my first visit with Rachael, I already would recommend her to a loved one. You can tell with just one conversation that she cares and she wants to listen, so she can help guide you the best way she can.

Rachel Morris is a great therapist. I've had a few counselors/therapists and I feel better about my time and work with her than any of the prior stops. It's been very beneficial having sessions with her, and I wholeheartedly recommend her.
