Rachel Anauo, LMHC
About me
You can have peace and I am devoted to help you in the process.
I am Rachel, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, licensed in the state of New York. I have 10+ years of counseling experience with dual disorders. I have experience in helping clients with substance use issues, with mental health, legal, medical, employment and educational concerns, trauma, coping with grief and loss, relationship and intimacy-related issues, including sexual concerns. I have special interest in adult women’s mental health care, but I am also glad to provide counseling services with men, as well as conducting couples counseling sessions. I work with couples to repair trust, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional intimacy with each other. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.
I am a widow and bring vast personal and professional experience to our work together. I draw upon Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Narrative Counseling techniques for my counseling style. I enjoy conducting individual , couples counseling, and group counseling sessions.
I am also an Ordained and Licensed Christian Minister. I am committed to helping people become healthier, happier versions of themselves and to seek spiritual growth and fulfillment, if you desire this. I am here to help empower you in your journey.
An additional area of interest for me is helping those involved in ministry who are struggling and desire professional support for their personal lives. I enjoy working with ministers because ministry is tough and because ministers need peace too.
