About me

Hello! My name is Rachel. I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 5 years of experience providing therapy. I have worked in a wide range of settings including residential treatment centers, intensive outpatient, and private practice. I have helped clients experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger issues, substance use, parenting problems, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical and sexual trauma and emotional abuse.

My primary approach to counseling is client centered. I believe that each person has what they need to find healing and success but may need some guidance and support to achieve it. I treat every client I meet with unconditional positive regard and curate a space of non-judgement. I draw on skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness Strategies to help my clients create the best "toolbox" for them to find success and approach life with confidence.

I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Rachel Miller. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Rachel has guided me through some tough and painful events over the last 6 months or so. She was very responsive to my messages and we were able to meet up regularly for our sessions. I appreciated the longer 45 min sessions with her as this benefitted me greatly. Even if I didn't feel up for therapy that day it was always well worth it and I felt much better after our sessions. I was able to talk about my emotions, problems, and anxieties openly without feeling judgement. She validated my feelings and asked appropriate questions to get me looking at things from a different perspective, which has helped my anxiety. I will definitely utilize her again in the future when necessary!

Rachael has been fantastic from our very first session! Her insight and patience has helped me look inward to pinpoint my sources of anxiety. I highly recommend her.

My talks with Rachel have been key to all the progress I’ve made with myself over the past few months. I was in a downward spiral with anxiety when I hopped into BetterHelp. Her empathy, line of questioning, and care for where I’m at have helped me think through a lot. I still have a lot of work do to on myself but I’m confident Rachel is there to listen and challenge me.
