I am a licensed professional counselor with 14 years experience. I have worked in a variety of settings, these include a hospital setting, the school system, and community mental health. I have worked with clients of all ages with a variety of experiences to include abuse/trauma, mood disorders, relationship issues, family concerns, and self esteem.
My therapeutic approach is to provide solution focused and client centered techniques to empower clients to address day to day stressors and predicaments. I have especially enjoyed working with adolescents who face a variety of personal life challenges. I believe in treating each client with respect and compassion. Rachel Young has been stability for me. I am often high functioning and do not realize when I need help from an outside source until it is often too late. Having Rachel there helps me begin to find a way to better myself and how to make areas that are weak, manageable again. There are still days where it is tough, but Rachel finds a way to let me talk, listen to me when I make no sense, and really sympathize, empathize, and question why I feel the way I feel.
