About me

Hello! I hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. My skill-set has been molded working in a domestic violence shelter for women, college counseling center, medium-security correctional facility for men, and providing outpatient mental health services for individuals of all ages and struggles. I take a modern, holistic, and interpersonal approach incorporating elements from different theories depending on the person and the situation.

Life is hard, and triggers are unavoidable. Change is unpleasant in the short term, but can improve the quality of our lives in the long-term. The goal of therapy is to identify the obstacles and learn ways to change our thoughts and behaviors resulting in less emotional distress. My end goal is to empower people to confidently resolve their struggles independent of mental health professionals in the future once they refine their skills. I offer a safe, confidential presence and am eager to offer support and guidance on your journey. You've already done the work to survive; now let's find a way to thrive!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Rachelle Belott Filipiak. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Rachelle is the best therapist I have ever had! I first had a few sessions with her back in 2021 and then came back to her in 2023. She is genuinely caring, kind and radiates really good energy. She is warm and empathetic and she really does want to help you.

She has never given up on me, even when I was ready to, she is always happy to slow down when I need to, and will pick up the pace if I feel like it. She gives the best advice and recommendations, and I have always felt safe to share whatever I need to with her.

I did EMDR with her for the first time which has allowed me to function now like a normal human being. I cannot thank her enough for being my side and giving me the therapeutic care I really needed for so many years.

I still have a long way to go but I am very happy to have Rachelle as my therapist

My therapist is the best! I feel comfortable in discussing traumatic experiences and I don't feel judged. Strongly recommend her.

Rachelle has been enormously helpful through one of the most unusual times in my life. Choosing to transition just as the government decides to stir up transphobia could have been disastrous but her compassion makes me feel recognized and valued, at last, in my true gender identity.
