I am an empowerment specialist (Therapist) who assists clients in finding their own answers. I understand that most issues that people seek help for, at its core, is devalue. When we are devalued we become very angry and hurt. Therapy is primarily an educational experience in which the client is given new information. The client is able to see how influences from early experiences shape us into the person we have become. Some of those influences are helpful but others are not. In the therapy process we must identify the "schemas" or tendencies that we learned from the elders in our families that have not served us well. Therapy is a journey not a destination. Therapy places a person on a journey of self discovery, open mindedness, and self love. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. I hold a masters degree in Clinical Psychology, now known as Forensic Psychology. I seek to empower my clients and give them their "microphone", their voice back. I seek to assist clients to claim or reclaim their identity and give them permission to claim the original Identity given to them by the creator. A quality life requires tough decisions and courage. Asking for help takes courage. Open up and begin your journey.....the world is waiting on you!

When I first started, I was nervous because I didn’t know what to expect. I find it easier to just talk and finally get feedback on what I’m dealing with. Journaling also has helped tremendously.

Ralph is very caring and provides a holistic approach to therapy. He is focused on getting to know you and helping you reframe your thoughts so you don’t spiral. Everything can’t be fixed in an instant, but if you can talk about it you can control how you deal with it…I learned that through my sessions and am better for it.

Ralph DeMar is a phenomenal therapist. In our sessions he tuned in to the problems that were being expressed and tapped into the ones that weren’t. He created a space where I felt safe in my transparency. He challenges when necessary, he affirmed me when necessary and overall he helped me to overcome challenges that I’d been suppressing for years. I highly recommend his services.
