About me
“I am responsible for who I am. My task is to free myself sufficiently so that I can respond in the present moment not from past programming. That’s what freedom is.” Initially a practitioner in nonprofits and community behavioural health programs and more recently in private practice, I have come to find as a trauma informed therapist, symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and relational issues are often expressions of unresolved grief and trauma. I am fascinated by the power of lasting change that comes from intentional deep work.
My training as a NARM therapist has become the anchor of my work, which honours a deep trust for each person’s innate ability to move towards growth and healing, and guides my sessions with clients. My work is to support more connection - with ourselves, others, and the world- so that we can access more parts of ourselves and be fully alive and present.
I bring warmth, intuition, and compassion into the counselling relationship and the encouragement of free, authentic expression. I look forward to learning what it is that you are wanting for yourself out of therapy, and more importantly, out of your life.
