About me

I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with over 20 years working in the field of mental health in Florida. I am also a college professor and doctoral candidate studying Ministry with a focus in Christian Leadership and Strategic Growth. I enjoy researching the field of neurotheology and neuroscience. I am Certified in Biblical Counseling and enjoy utilizing faith-based modalities as a counselor.

I am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and I am Certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I have a special place in my heart for neurodivergent people attempting to navigate a neurotypical world. My desire is to help others in times of hardship, meet people where they are and walk alongside them during difficult times. I do believe that faith and having a sense of purpose greater than yourself are key components to life-long healing.

I have worked with many populations to include children struggling with attachment and sensory dysregulation; adolescents struggling with emotional regulation, executive functioning, and peer relationships; adults experiencing domestic violence, anxiety, or addictions; and active duty military struggling with the realities of deployment and reintegration. I have worked in inpatient settings, outpatient settings, forensic/court systems, and in community development settings. Lastly, I consider it a blessing and privilege to have the opportunity to come alongside pastors and ministry leaders struggling through the complexity of ministry life or in overcoming spiritual burnout.

My therapy style is direct but warm. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in utilizing stigmatizing labels.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

I am new. I haven’t talked to Rebecca that much yet. But so far, she seems to be very kind and patient.

Rebecca is an outstanding listener and has been incredibly supportive during a challenging time in my life following the loss of a loved one. At my request, she thoughtfully incorporated Christian counseling, grounding our sessions in faith and providing meaningful guidance. Her compassionate approach has been instrumental in helping me navigate anxiety, depression, and grief. Rebecca is a God-fearing woman who has shown me such incredible kindness and, at the same time, pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined. She’s always pointing me back to Jesus, and I can’t express how thankful I am that God brought her into my life. I wish everyone could have a Rebecca in their life!
