About me

I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with over 20 years working in the field of mental health in Florida. I am also a Bible college professor and ABD Doctoral candidate. I enjoy researching theology, the field of neurotheology and its cross-sections with neuroscience. I am Certified in Biblical Counseling and utilize faith-based modalities as a counselor.

I have a special place in my heart for neurodivergent people attempting to navigate a neurotypical world. To integrate neurotheological research into my work, I am a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist and a Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist. My desire is to help others in times of hardship, meet people where they are and walk alongside them during difficult seasons.

I have worked in many settings to include working with children struggling with attachment and sensory dysregulation; adolescents struggling with emotional regulation, executive functioning, and peer relationships; adults experiencing domestic violence, anxiety, or addictions; and active duty military struggling with the realities of deployment and reintegration. I have worked in inpatient settings, outpatient settings, forensic/court systems, and in community development settings. Lastly, I consider it a blessing and privilege to have the opportunity to come alongside pastors and ministry leaders struggling through the complexity of ministry life or in overcoming spiritual burnout.

My therapy style is direct but warm. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in utilizing stigmatizing labels.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

I can’t say enough good things about Ms. Rebecca! She has been an incredible support system for me during one of the most challenging seasons of my life—navigating my divorce and the emotional toll that came with it. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped me not only understand and process my emotions but also recognize the impact of being in a relationship with a narcissist.

What sets Ms. Rebecca apart is her ability to guide with both wisdom and compassion. She has been instrumental in helping me shift from a mindset of codependency to independence, and her encouragement has deepened my relationship with God. She’s not just a therapist; she’s someone who truly understands the importance of faith and healing working hand in hand.

I also admire how quick and sharp she is. Our conversations are always engaging and insightful, and she has an incredible knack for responding thoughtfully in the moment. She listens deeply, yet challenges me in a way that inspires real growth. I feel seen, heard, and understood in every session.

Ms. Rebecca has made a profound impact on my journey, and I’m so grateful for her guidance. If you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and quick-thinking, I highly recommend her!

I am new. I haven’t talked to Rebecca that much yet. But so far, she seems to be very kind and patient.
