About me

I am Becky Johnson, a licensed professional clinical counselor with over 10 years of experience working in counseling and therapy. I have worked with many different issues including, depression and anxiety, trauma, attachment disorders, personality disorders, schizoaffective disorders, and dissociative disorders. My approach to therapy is based on my client's needs. I work with a wide variety of approaches including strength focused, solution focused, narrative, attachment therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and hypnotherapy. Counseling has always been my calling and love learning new approaches to helping people live their best life!
I take working with people's mental health extremely seriously, with a kind, and sometimes humorous approach. I work to be honest (sometimes blunt) and gentle with my clients. While the stigma of mental health is changing, it is still sometimes difficult to make steps towards bettering our lives through therapy. I'm excited to learn more about you and work with you to help you live the life you truly want to live!

Professional, on-time, listens, gives me time to explain response when needed.

I have been working with Rebecca for a few months now and it has really been amazing. I've done therapy on and off for about 20 years, and tried many things. She has really taught me a lot about trauma and how to work toward healing. I am really glad to have such a reliable and comfortable therapy option, especially with Covid.

Rebecca has been great, very responsive and when I needed it the most she responded to my messages very quickly, while remaining a good professional boundary

I have spent years looking for a therapist that I felt understood me. It has been a long process and I almost gave up. Rebecca has listened to me. She actually asks questions that are relevant and she makes me feel listened to. I feel like she allows me to vent and gives me great advice on how to deal with things. It has been such a change (a very welcome one) from any other experience I have had in the past. She is empathetic and helps me find solutions. I am so thankful that I was matched with her, and I look forward to our chats.

Rebeccas is a great listener and asks important questions that help me navigate my feelings and recognize areas where I'm making more progress than I had thought.
