Renee Zavislak, LMFT
About me
I am licensed in California with 12 years of professional work experience. I'm an integrative therapist, which means that I draw from several different psychotherapy orientations. My work is informed by psychodynamic, behavioristic, humanistic, and systemic approaches. In other words, I formulate my approach to fit you and your needs, rather than the other way around. Most importantly, I am relational, creative, and holistic. Successful therapy depends on a strong and positive relationship between client and therapist, and nurturing that bond, beginning with a safe and supportive environment, is my first priority. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct, and I appreciate the healing power of humor. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is flexible, demystified, and client-centered. You already have in you everything you need to be well and whole. As your guide and your advocate, I help you develop the insight, curiosity, and courage to know yourself deeply and live your life fully.
