Rex Perkins, LICSW
About me
I am a Licensed LISCW in Alabama with over 15 years of professional work experience, working with adolescence and college age students, as well as older adults and children. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, LGBTQ-related issues, relationship issues, & motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I also teach clients how to develop a unique social skill method to help manage uncomfortable social situations with friends, family, and partners. I am also trained in ERP therapy for the treatment of OCD, Hoarding, and BFRBs. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared. When you step into my therapy area it is considered a non-judgement, be yourself, zone, where you can feel comfortable and safe when talking about things that may be difficult to open up about. My initial goal is to learn as much as possible about what issues or problems you are currently facing to help you accomplish the goals you initially came to therapy for in an easier way. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I am proud of you for taking the first step in getting started and consider it an honor to be part o your journey towards recovery.
