Hello and thank you so much for taking the 1st step in enhancing your life, it takes much courage to be here!
There are a few things you may want to know about my approach, along with those things you may inquire on about the person they will be trusting while you embark on your journey to better health. I have been practicing mental health since 1999 from a psychiatric units, out patient community mental health centers and actively in practice from my solely owned private office (established 2013). After being a non-traditional student (started higher education later in life) I have enjoyed this 20 year experience of support encouragement and gentle guidance through non-judgmental, unbiased care. With my range of experience and diversity of clientele, It has been my pleasure to witness the positive outcomes clients have had through the practices of; CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), SFBT (Solution Focused Brief Therapy) and Client Centered therapy all of which are evidenced based best outcome practices.
In working with my clients I have had the thrill to watch them grow, develop, and enhance their lives and on occasion, return for fine-tuning. It's exciting when treatment goals are achieved and life improves - I invite you to be part of the process of either enhancing your life or perhaps creating a new life that is stronger and more bold with grace, confidence and direction.

When my 1st therapist left Better Help I was very apprehensive about starting with a new therapist. I'm so glad I kept moving forward and found Rhonda. She hs challenged me in areas I wasn't even aware of. Getting through the hard stuff and healing with every appointment. Whether it be teaching me tools for coping, encouraging to find joy or speaking up with what matters to me, Rhonda has been on point on how to achieve these things. I'm so very grateful for her guidance.

Working with Rhonda has helped me deal with stressors and make plans to achieve goals. She practices in such a way that it doesn't feel clunky like some CBT-using therapists have made it feel. There has only been one other “therapist” that has been able to directly give me the tools I need to explore myself in a way where I can grow and be successful. 16 years and 5 therapists that failed to help me navigate even light depression and relationship problems led me to an emotional repatterning program called Break Method that helped more than any therapy I had ever had. I was hesitant to do therapy again but needed support as a single mom and chose BetterHelp without much faith. The tools and assignments and accountability that Rhonda has for me is better than any therapist I’ve ever had. She validates the tools I’ve already learned and is able to hone in and send assignments that are truly opening my eyes to new parts of me I still had my eyes closed to. The tools she’s given me I’m able to go back to and use in new circumstances and they are truly able to help rebuild me from the inside out. Rhonda has been there when times are simple and I just need a soundboard and also when I’ve been in my depths. She truly is an experienced professional that is here for the betterment of self. I really enjoy working with her. She’s helped me in areas of depression, past trauma, current trauma, substance abuse, and single parenting just to name a few!

Too rough for over the phone/computer. Rhonda has a poor job picking up on the start of destructive behaviors. Definitely pushes clients too much for a non face to face session. Often felt less safe at the end of my sessions than beginning. All for a tough therapist but there’s an emotional and physical time and place for some stronger tactics.

Rhonda is a wonderful therapist who really listens but more importantly hears what I’m says. She remembers details from many sessions ago and is able to loop back on things from past conversations that I never thought would connect to what I’m brining up in a current session. Her insight is immensely helpful and initiative. After years of searching for someone I connect with I have found it, ironically virtually, with Rhonda. And, she is a straight shooter but with a soft touch. Can’t recommend her enough!

During a period of encroaching darkness, Rhonda has been a guiding light and safe place. When I needed someone to listen to me, she didn't just listen, she made me feel HEARD. Validated. She helped me to accept that boundaries are necessary and healthy, and that my needs are important, too. As I tried to make sense of the crazy in the world and my family, she asked strategic questions that forced me to challenge my own thinking and understanding. Our sessions left me feeling lighter, more calm, and less defeated. All this has translated to real and positive improvements in my life and relationships, and let me kindle hope for the future and appreciation for the present. I strongly recommend Rhonda, and deeply appreciate our time working together.
