About me
Life is difficult. How you choose to deal with this reality directly affects the quality of your life. Living in the past will bring on depression since you cannot change what has already happened. Living in the future leads to anxiety as you experience worry about how to deal with what has yet to happen.
You don't have to live that way. Individual therapy can help you learn to accept your past, deal with your future, and find the courage to live in the present moment, the place where living a quality life begins.
As a psychotherapist, former hospital chaplain, and high school athletic coach, I possess a combination of life approaches (clinical skill, compassionate presence, individual encouragement) that can provide you with a unique therapeutic experience - one that can change your life for the better.

Rick has been a tremendous help to me as I work through some issues around control and anger. He's worked to help me see things from other's perspectives, and offered some good coping mechanisms to try to shortcut my automatic reactions. Definitely, 100% recommend working with Rick.
