About me

Robert "Bobby" Frost, MA, LPCC, LADC
ABOUT ME

I am a dual Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Minnesota with ten years of counseling experience and 41 years of working with those experiencing a co-occurring mental health and chemical health disorder simultaneously.

I have worked with groups and individuals experiencing a vast range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, impulsivity, substance use and trauma. My clinical and volunteer work has been in residential, home-based and intensive outpatient settings.

My counseling style is compassionate, sensitive and positive, incorporating humor and joyfulness when appropriate. My approach combines a person-centered, trauma-informed framework, embracing one size does not fit all. I incorporate the modalities of mindfulness based stress reduction, meditation, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy.

I look forward to supporting and empowering you in your journey of discovery!

I met Bobby at a difficult time in my life. I was going through marital problems and needed help getting my own life back on track. I was matched with Bobby and started therapy within two days of applying. He was attentive to my needs, professional, and very helpful. I had no trouble securing appointments during time frames that were convenient for me. Bobby responded to my messages very promptly and provided resources that I asked for. With his help, I was able to take care of my mental health and acquired new skills that helped me get a new perspective on life. I am grateful for Bobby's help and would recommend him to anybody who is struggling and needs help of a therapist.

Our first few sessions have been very good.

Bobby engaged with kindness and caring nature along with professionalism from the very first moment. He doesn't push but rather places the tools in front of you to use when suited. If you dig in and work he will do the same, if you need a rest he responds with kindness, compassion and empathy but has the assertiveness to challenge your thoughts and beliefs gently that you may grow. I cannot say how grateful I am that I was placed with him.
Thank you
Peace & Love
