About me

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in Texas. I have worked with children, couples, families, and adults for 31 years, and feel I am fulfilling a calling! I have a great deal of experience in the areas of depression, anxiety, surviving childhood trauma, drug and alcohol counseling, and marriage counseling. In addition to working with BetterHelp, I have my own private practice where I specialize in children and families involved in the foster care system. I have worked within the public school setting, contracted with the Department of Defense, and work with children and families within residential settings. I also teach for a local college, training students to become drug and alcohol counselors. I have a Doctorate in Counseling and another Doctorate in Strategic Leadership - Leadership Coaching, and always feel there is more to learn!

I believe effective change comes through relationships, so first and foremost I want to establish a comfortable therapeutic relationship with you. From there, we will establish goals and objectives, setting up a road map so you will see where you're going and celebrate each step of the way. I will meet you where you are at, and listen compassionately and non-judgmentally in order to support you on your journey. My counseling style is based in the cognitive-behavioral approach, augmented by trauma informed care and solution-focused practices. No matter what your goals are, you are in the driver's seat because I believe you have everything within you to make wanted changes or handle difficult situations. There's just those times when having someone objective to listen, help, and support will make the difference you need.

I'm so glad you've taken this first step toward completing your journey, and I look forward to working with you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Robin Beauregard. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Beauregard listens, patiently and without judgement. She phrases suggestions with "maybe it might help if..." or "you could always consider..." so it's not like she's telling you what to do. She offers healthy alternatives and oftentimes allows you to feel like you came to the conclusion or epiphany. She is so warm, lovely, gentle, honest (even about her own experiences, where applicable, and again, non judgemental.

I have been working with Dr. Beauregard for 3 years now, and she has been the biggest help for me in my journey. I struggled to make that first step in signing up for therapy, but I am so happy that I did. It started off me wanting to discuss one thing and it has now snowballed to many topics and me working on different aspects of my life for self healing and self improvement. She is very compassionate, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. She has really helped to guide me, and I have made so much improve and part of that is all thanks to her. I'm grateful to have her in my life.

Robin is a very easy to listen to. Very respectful of what you share with her. She also is very intelligent and knows how to effectively get to the root a problem before conducting how to solve the problem
