About me

Hello and thank you for considering me to assist you along life’s journey!
My name is Roger Hunter and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Alabama with approximately thirty years of experience. I have held a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Psychology since 1993. During that time, I have worked with a wide range of clients with issues including depression, anxiety, stress, grief and simply coping with life’s constant changes. I enjoy life coaching and helping people reach their full potentials.
It is important to me that a climate of complete trust exist between a therapist and his client and I do everything I can to establish and maintain that trust during the time we will be working together. I believe in a warm, non-judgmental approach while seeking the outcomes that are the reasonable desires of my client. I believe in understanding our past but keeping the main focus on what lies ahead. None of us can change our past but all of us can change our future.

I look forward to getting to know you, establishing your personal goals and developing strategies to achieve them.

Roger is so kind and empathetic. I feel like I have known him a lot longer than I actually have. He does a great job listening to me without preaching at me.

Roger is an incredible therapist. It's my second time using this platform and I choose him again as my therapist. He listens, doesn't judge you, and give you amazing advice and his point of view with all the respect.

I reached out to a therapist over a year ago. I was in a bad place in life. I had prior poor experiences with therapists but at the time i really needed someone to speak with. In hindsight I'm thankful. I Feel bad i was so abrupt but Roger came in like a cool wave. Never condecending or put offish. I appreciate his friendship and advice. Very thankful my God lead me to him. Thank you Roger!!
