About me

Hi! My name is Roger and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 32 years of experience in counseling and behavioral interventions. I received my MSW from the University Of Washington and I’ve had a long association with King County Mental Health.

My approach is solution focused and person centered. I’ve had training in Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I enjoy supporting people who have concerns across the spectrum of mood and thought disorders. I will work with you to find the strategies that best address what you need.

I am also very interested in issues with creativity and imagination and in helping clients move through the barriers that keep them from fully expressing themselves. Counseling can help prepare us for the risks and rewards of sharing ourselves and our creations with the world.

Roger is a kind, professional therapist who has been so helpful for me! His approach is to listen more than he talks - it is so great to really be heard, and know that he is taking it in and wanting to understand and help. And when he talks, it’s always something thoughtful. I have come away from every single meeting with something new to think about, or a breakthrough on something I was stuck on. My wife says Roger has been a godsend, and I agree.

Roger has been incredibly relatable and supportive. I am comfortably confronted with the things that I choose to work on to better myself.
