Ross Davidson, LCMHC
About me
In coping with attention deficit problems, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, personality disorders and other mental health difficulties, the emotional pain we endure as the result of these difficulties can be devastating. Over the past 15 years, it has been my privilege to counsel people using a client-centered, strength-based approach, I guide people in unearthing and utilizing their own inner resources, while teaching them new skills, to overcome the difficulties they face stemming from mental health challenges.
I utilize an eclectic approach, drawing from psychological and spiritual approaches, including mindfulness, psychodynamic, gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, humanistic psychology and self psychology – whatever approach or combination of approaches is the most useful to help you.
I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of California at Davis. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire (LCMHC # 985), and a Masters Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (MLADC # 1001).

Ross is honestly one of the few people I’ve ever connected with through therapy. I’ve been in and out of therapy for 20+ years, and it’s always difficult trying to find somebody that clicks. He challenges my beliefs and gives me new perspectives instead of making me feel like we’re following some kind of curriculum. Just a great person.

A man dashed into Ross's office shouting "I'm a tee-pee, I'm a wig-wam, I'm a tee-pee, I'm a wig-wam!" Ross told the man he needs to relax, he's too tense

Ross is a great counselor. He helps me attack and support the progress of where I'm at every session. He leaves the window open for me to talk about whats bothering me each individual session we have. Which is great for me because I'm more of a person that has things come up and I react but he's helped me further my understanding of all situations I've been going through and helps me create the structure needed to push through any obstacles im facing. Hes definitely in the right field!
