Ross Mickelson, LPCC
About me
My name is Ross and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in the state of North Dakota. I graduated with my Master's in Counseling from the University of Mary in 2019. I am enrolled in a doctorate program, pursuing training to become a clinical psychologist. I have 3 years experience working as a licensed counselor and 6 total years as a mental health provider. All of my prior experience has been working with individuals with depression, anxiety, self-harm behavior, suicidal ideation, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and other mood and personality disorders.
My goal is to build a safe and strong therapeutic relationship with you to heal and accomplish your personal goals. During my time as a counselor I have approached this in a client-centered way using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to focus on a persons values and strengths, coupled with mindfulness skills, to help individuals achieve their goals and improved health. I also believe music and other creative mediums to be a valuable therapeutic tool and like to incorporate these into my sessions as well.
I am excited you are taking this interest into your mental health and the possibility to work with you!
