About me
Hi, my name is Ryan and I have been working in mental health for 9 years. I have experience helping people with an array of problems including substance abuse, couples issues, adolescents, criminal justice, mood disorders and other life problems. I began my work in mental health after working for 10 years in health and fitness. My inspiration to enter the field of mental health developed from a desire to help others realize their ability to change and to achieve their utmost potential in psychological well-being.
I am a compassionate, genuine, authentic therapist who is dedicated and committed to helping others achieve their desired outcomes. I use a multidimensional approach exploring psychological, biological and spiritual needs to assist in the healing process.

Ryan has helped me realize many of my personal issues and conflicts, and has helped me to learn to listen to myself. My relationship with my wife has become much stronger and through the teachings of communication and understanding, our love life has greatly improved as well. Thanks to both BetterHelp and Ryan for being there for me.

I selected Mr. Black because of his profile. He is skilled, accommodating, and flexible. He is authentic. He works with me and doesn't work "on me" - a vital part of what I feel makes an effective therapist.

Ryan is a very approachable person who intensively listens and responds. The first therapist I have found in years who made me feel seen and heard in my first session. I would highly recommend him.
