About me

I’m a therapist committed to helping people live more meaningful and satisfying lives. Mental health issues such as depression and anxiety should not get in the way of living the life you want to live.

My approach is person-centered, putting you in the driver's seat. We will explore the issues you wish to work on, as you are the expert on your life.

Using techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we can rework your relationship to your thoughts and feelings. A psychodynamic perspective will help us understand the deeper, unconscious issues that may be contributing to negative patterns in your life.

At the end of the day, regardless of where therapy takes us, I am here for you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ryan Sheehan. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

In just a few weeks Ryan has helped me identify key issues that I didn’t know to target. I still don’t have a solution. But I honestly don’t think therapy “solves your problems” as much as it gives you the tools to work through them, maintain, and manage them. Ryan has been wonderful and easy to talk to. And I truly feel like he listens when I talk. He’s empathetic and I feel like he understands where I’m at mentally and emotionally and doesn’t push too hard when trying to learn about me.

I love that Ryan meets me where I am and talks about things that are important for me to get better at! I would recommend him 100x!

He listens well and gives great insight into some of the things we talk about. I noticed he also remembers a lot of things we talked about from previous sessions so it’s very helpful to know that he considers the patients to be important and values our time. Also gives exercises after sessions that can be beneficial for self improvement.
