About me

Heartbreak hurts, and healing happens. Relationships tear down, and they build up. Emotions elate and deflate us. Thoughts can define us by shaping or breaking us. We do right by someone and that person does wrong by us. We are faced with juxtapositions like this daily, and at times it is too much. Perhaps you are at a loss for next steps right now -- in your relationships, your job, or finding purpose and passion in life. Maybe you are asking if you will ever make it to the other side of the pain or frustration you are experiencing. What would it be like to fully love yourself, to feel accepted, understood, or good enough by another? Maybe all you know is when and if things actually slow-down, you have an aching pit in your stomach -- a restlessness in your spirit. You want something different.

However short or long that I have the privilege of getting to be a part of your story, I most look forward to helping you experience the change you want to see in areas that are holding you back from living your fullest potential. I see our relationship as collaborative and evolving, as well as a safe place to be imperfect. Clients say that my style is very personable and that my energy and charisma have helped fuel them for change. At my core I take on a humanistic and solution-focused approach to therapy, while integrating multiple approaches with your best interests and goals in mind.

Peace can be found no matter what trauma you may have faced or are facing. I know you can move through and beyond crisis or difficulty and into the best version of yourself and your most healthy relationships.

My love for and soon to be expertise in communications and relationships began almost 20 years ago. I began teaching, mentoring or coaching college students shortly after beginning my own college experience. This included work within the university setting and facilitation of events for young-adults during international volunteer trips.

While earning my Master of Science in Counseling/Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, I began working with the reputable Dr. Marcus Earle and the therapists at Psychological Counseling Services, PCS, (www.pcsearle.com) in 2007. Two years later, I also began working with Journeys Counseling Center (www.journeyscounselingaz.com) and Dr. Roxane Thorstad and team. Specialties areas I developed during my time at these locations include love and sex addiction, intimacy issues, marital conflict, spiritual issues, substance abuse, trauma and PTSD. l also had the opportunity to practice and be exposed to cutting-edge therapeutic models and helpful tools and techniques from across the spectrum of therapy that include elements from: mindfulness, DBT, communications skills, boundaries, EFT (specialized couples therapy method) and specific trauma-informed care methods.

I am happy to support your options in order to find the best therapy fit for you including recommendations for another type of therapist or treatment. Please feel free to ask me any questions as you consider me as your therapist! You are brave, you are not alone and I wish the very best for you!

Kelli was a great support for me during the past months. She was patient and understanding. I very much appreciated her graceful approach to each session because not once did I feel rushed or pushed to share. Every session felt very organic and she listened and guided my emotions well. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a second voice of confidence and love. Thanks Kelli!
