About me
Seeking Clarity and Emotional balance? Curious how counselling can transform your life?
I am a compassionate and dedicated integrative therapist with over
credentialed in the UK , with over 1,300 hours of direct client engagement experience.
I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs. My holistic perspective embraces various modalities, fostering healing and personal growth.
I have helped a diverse range of of clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, and those struggling with common mental health issues such as depression and low mood, obsessive disorder (OCDs), stress, anxiety, relationship issues, working through grief and loss, coping with life changes, career difficulties, academic challenges, Carer's issues, childhood trauma, attachment issues, motivation, self esteem and confidence to name a few. I have also experience of working with complex cognitive challenges, such as high functioning autism and ADHD. In this context, I also have extensive experience of working with caregivers of neuro-diverse children and young adults, as well as those caring for patients or loved ones with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes, and its not always easy to navigate challenges on your own. As a therapist, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel truly heard without fear of judgment.
In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to explore the challenges you're facing, identify your strengths, and develop effective coping strategies. Your journey is unique, and I'm committed to tailoring our sessions to your individual needs and goals.
I frequently adopt a person centred approach which is informed by Existential philosophies, in my work. As such, by remaining fully present in the here and now, I will guide you to explore aspects of your life that you will bring to counselling. I will assist you in making your own decisions and help facilitate a better understanding of yourself and your situation. I may also guide you to explore your personal history to discern effective strategies for investigating your concerns, and to support you to make choices that are you're comfortable with.
The foundation of my approach rests on valuing the significance of your feelings and emotions throughout our collaborative journey. Just as physical discomfort alerts you to address its source, our emotions indicate underlying issues that require attention. I will support you in delving into and comprehending these feelings and emotions, which often underlie and at times are the source of your unease or distress.
As you gain deeper insights, your adeptness at managing these emotions will improve, empowering you to navigate challenging decisions with greater ease and make well-informed choices.
I believe, therapist-client relationship is foundational and pivotal in the therapeutic process, serving as the bedrock upon which trust, collaboration and meaningful exploration of emotions and experiences can flourish. As such, your insights are valuable in shaping our therapeutic process. Please feel free to share what you're comfortable with during our sessions, and if at any point you have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. Our communication is an essential part of our partnership.
Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I look forward to working with you.
