Dr. Sally Goh, LPC
About me
I am a counselor educator and a licensed professional counselor; I am licensed in Georgia, South Carolina, and Virginia with 8 years of professional work experience. As a relationship-driven and person-centered therapist, I have extensive experience using cognitive behavior, EMDR, Gestalt, and neuroscience-based approaches in working with a diverse population on adverse childhood experience (ACE), anxiety, cross-cultural and generational issues (belongingness), depression, grief and loss, stress management, substance use/abuse, and trauma. Prior to private practice, I worked as a community-based and addiction counselor. I am also meaningfully involved in mentoring and training mental health counselors. I believe counseling within the context of a trusting and collaborative relationship is one you feel heard. If you currently feel stuck, paralyzed, and overwhelmed with emotional pain, we will work step-by-step to heal, restore, and reclaim your life. You will learn to use your intrinsic strengths and skills to process your trauma, be assertive, set boundaries, and refuse to carry the guilt and shame of others, to move forward with self-confidence and purpose. In attaining personal growth, you will ground your healing in authentic hope that creates real change to live a healthy and abundant life.
