About me

I hold a Masters Degree in Science in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University; a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of West Florida; and an Associate in Science with a focus in Mental Health. I have been in the field of mental health since 2009 and licensed since 2013. Therapeutic theories that I use are that of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy as the mainstay of my practice. I am well versed in Existential Therapy and use it to help those dealing with grief and dying. My overall therapeutic attitude of therapy is that of warm and unconditional regard of Person-Centered Therapy to provide excellent care for my clients. I have worked in addictions therapy, family therapy, adult individual therapy, youth therapy, group therapy, and worked in correctional institutions with youth and adults. I have had success in helping people to find their self-potential and realize their inner power. Unlocking your potential and inner power helps people to see that they can overcome many of life's problems and relieve many symptoms of mental health diagnoses.

Sam is awesome! Have been attending therapy sessions with him for over a year - his ideas and philosophies, strategies for conquering stress are always on point. He is the first therapist I’ve felt a strong comfortability & mutual friendship with, which makes opening up that much easier.
