Sandra Alvidrez, LPC
About me
I am licensed in Texas with 8 years of professional work experience. I have worked as a high school counselor for the past 9 years. Through my years working as a high school counselor I have worked with not only students, but family members, and staff as well. I have had the ability to help clients in areas such as anxiety, depression, self harm, trauma, eating disorders, self esteem issues, relationship issues, and career choices. Being a school counselor has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse group of counseling areas, and clients.
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, and interpersonal therapy. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Sandra is an excellent therapist. Going through a blindside divorce and having to move back in with my mother at 39 years old has been difficult to navigate. Having Sandra to help me work through my emotions has helped save my life. Right from the beginning she understood me and that helped me feel safe and comfortable. She’s always there for me and is very easy to talk to. She’s the kind of therapist who offers a mix of listening and gentle guidance. If this is something you’re looking for in a therapist I highly recommend working with Sandra.
