Sara Brown, LCMHC
About me
Something is wrong, you just know it. Your chest feels tight, you can’t focus, you’re dropping the ball on important tasks. This perfect image you have crafted is falling apart and you don’t know what to do. You have tried it all. You have bought all the planners, followed all the wellness Instagram accounts, and tried all the self-care products, but nothing helps. The problem feels deeper. It’s a problem you can tackle alone. It is tough to admit, but you need some help. Some extra support. Someone who understands and won’t judge you.
Imagine this. Your toolbox is full of strategies to calm yourself down, take control of your thoughts, and live in the moment so you can enjoy life again. You know what activities fill your cup. It’s no longer about what is right, it’s about what works for you. You feel lighter, feel more joy, and know you can conquer the world as you have always planned. You know it is all going to be better than okay from now on.
I draw from a few therapeutic techniques including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to tailor my approach to your unique needs. My primary goal is to understand your core values and personality and make efforts to support you in aligning your actions with who you are. Together we work to understand the root cause of your anxiety and develop a holistic approach to making lasting changes in your life.
