About me

I studied and received a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in behavioral sciences in 2009. I have been in private practice for 8 years and have work with a variety of presenting issues, such as depression, anxiety and behavior related problems. I primarily focus on cognitive behavioral therapy but am open to different approaches as the need arises. I grew up in a nontraditional household and learned very early on the benefits of a therapeutic relationship and have chosen to dedicate my life helping others.

I had just gotten out of an extremely toxic relationship as a shell of the person I once was, and felt like I was going nowhere with my previous therapist, so I figured I had nothing to lose by trying out Betterhelp. This was in July 2023, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made to date. How much I have grown in a little over a year is simply incredible. I remember wanting to get back to where I was before I had gotten into that relationship through therapy, but with the help of Sara, I have achieved so much more by becoming the person I have always wished to be. As corny as that might sound, she simply is that good. She is extremely empathetic while never shying away from giving you her opinion on a matter, which I have immense respect for. Even if you are not ready for a change, she will plant the necessary seeds and wait patiently for them to grow without pushing you. Her ability to identify the root cause of certain behaviours and concerns is second to none, and she makes it a point of honour to provide her clients with any tool they might need from her extensive toolbox. I am genuinely thankful for having crossed paths with her, and could honestly never recommend her enough.

Sara actually listens and keeps everything really lowkey. A session with her isn’t something to stress about. It’s a conversation, and a relaxed one at that. She’s honest and gives you feedback and really has helped me just vent and understand what’s going through my head at times and why.
She’s good people, she tries and doesn’t add pressure. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
