Sara Watkins, LCSW
About me
Aloha! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. It is my desire to create a safe, warm & accepting space for all the individuals I work with. I believe that feelings of belonging & acceptance are the foundation of the growth we can achieve together. Understanding my clients problems from a holistic perspective is important to me. As you share your unique story it is my goal to paint a more detailed picture of your problem within the context it has evolved & been maintained. My belief is that all problems make sense in the context of our unique experiences & relationships. My desire is to validate these experiences & help you work towards lasting healing. Therapy is beneficial for anyone at any point in their life. It’s a safe space to reflect, focus on yourself, & address things in your life that aren’t as you would like. Therapy can help you heal your pain, improve self-esteem, thrive in your career, be a confident parent, love & accept yourself, & build a more fulfilling life.
During each session, I promote internal healing in a safe, non-critical, non-judgmental environment that will allow you to access, name, & express emotions in a healthy way. Together you will come to understand & calm the physical manifestations of emotional pain, & allow a safe space to regain hope, faith, love for self, & rebuild healthy core beliefs. I define my therapeutic approach as multidisciplinary; I utilize evidenced-base theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focus Therapy, & Client Centered Therapy.

I’ve had many therapist over the years but Sara is by far the best I have come across. You immediately can feel she cares and she understands what you need. She gives advice and things to work on so you feel you’re getting the best out of therapy not just someone who listens.
