About me
"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending"
-C.S. Lewis
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Iowa with 9 years of experience. I received my Bachelor's from the University of Notre Dame in psychology and then my Master's in Community Mental Health Counselor from Creighton University. I specialize in trauma, but ultimately tailor my approach based on the individual needs of my clients. Other areas of specialty include but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, parenting, grief/loss, behavioral issues, stress management, identity issues and divorce. I have significant experience working with children, teens, adults, families and couples. The therapeutic relationship is fundamental for this experience to be successful and pride myself on connecting with my clients, creating an environment of trust, compassion, and empathy. Getting to be a part of another's journey to find peace, happiness, and fulfillment is the greatest blessing and feel honored to have this opportunity every day.
I'm a firm believer that there is real opportunity for growth and change in even the most difficult situations. You’ve taken the first in your healing by reaching out and I would be honored to be a part of your journey.
