Sarah Oliva, LPC
About me
I'm a licensed therapist in the state of Texas with 9 years of experience working with individuals and families in a counseling capacity. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations including a contact center environment, mobile crisis intervention, and outpatient settings where I worked with individuals struggling with trauma, life transitions, ADHD, anger management issues, family conflict, and mood disorders. My approach to counseling is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a genuine desire to empower individuals to overcome their challenges.
Life is hard and sometimes we need to reach out to others for support and guidance. With the right tools and skills at our disposal it is easier to identify triggers, notice warning signs, and find ways to better prepare for oncoming stressors and challenges. I believe we all have the power to grow from challenges; we just need the right guidance and space to do so. I utilize CBT, DBT, and trauma focused approaches and would love the opportunity to help guide you to feel more in control, more grounded, and better able to face everyday stressors that pop up along the way.
