Dr. Scott Cicero, Psychologist
About me
Hello,
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (NY, NJ) with more than 32 years of experience helping clients identify and resolve various life challenges. These have included stress and anxiety; sadness and depression; trauma; job, career, and life transition challenges; family issues; relationship and commitment challenges; and other aspects everyday life. My orientation tends toward cognitive-behaviorism, but I believe that no one theory or practice model will fit every situation and tend to be eclectic in my approach.
I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds in many different settings. I believe that if therapy is to be successful, it should focus less on advice-giving and more on identifying one's goals and devising a plan for meeting them. The decision to begin therapy and embark on a journey which can be difficult is to be commended. I hope that I may become part of your journey.
