I am a Licensed Professional Counselor whose education includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology, the first master's was focused on Diverse Learners and the second masters was in Counseling. I have a plethora of experience from working in psychiatric hospitals, nursing facilities, substance abuse rehabilitation centers and more.
My counseling styles is a coach by nature though I am also an excellent listener. I have lots of empathy peppered with a "Can do" attitude. I have had two session with Shana so far. I felt an instant connection with her. She is an excellent listener. She does not waste time she gets right into tackling how to solve the issue at hand. She gives you worksheets and sets goals for you to work on between sessions. She has a refreshing way of looking at things. She will tell you like it is. In a good way! She is honest, real, and down to earth. I feel like I have made more progress in two sessions with Shana and better help than I did in an entire year of counseling. She is pretty amazing!

Shana's really great. She's very compassionate, and understands me and my needs very well. I only say one word, and she can instantly tell if I need to vent, need someone to talk to me for a bit, or just need some space - and she adjusts our sessions accordingly.
