Shane Crockett , LIMHP
About me
I have been in practice for just over 17 years and have worked in a number of positions providing psychotherapy to individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families in different settings. I have worked with individuals expressing many different concerns, some have adjustment concerns and some have major mental health diagnosis and supporting through life changes. I graduated with a Masters of Arts in Counseling in 2004 and I am an Independent Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) as well as an Instructor for a Community College.
In working closely with people I have found that using a multitude of different theoretical approaches is finding the one that best suits the individual. A few of the approaches are Client Centered, Cognitive behavioral, Dialectal Behavior, and Existential to name a few. It is beneficial to match the style that is most productive with the concerns of the individual and determine together the approach to the most beneficial outcome. I have worked with diagnosis that range from depression/anxiety to Paranoid Schizophrenia and individuals that are self mutilating.
I encourage questions and best fit determination as this is a special journey for most individuals to partake it, so it is essential to be as comfortable as one can be as this reduces the uncomfortableness in those sensitive situations that we all work through. I would love to discuss your pathway that is going to most fulfilling for you through life and would be delighted to be part of that if possible.
