About me
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to write a new chapter in your life, one where you feel more in control, more fulfilled, and more at peace? Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges, seeking growth, or simply needing a space to be heard, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place.
As a licensed clinical social worker with over five years of experience, I bring a diverse background to my practice, including work in psychiatric hospitals and the non-profit sector. My journey has allowed me to work with a wide range of clients, across various ages, ethnicities, and personal preferences.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Spelman College and a Master’s in Health and Mental Health Social Work from Whitney M. Young Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University. My passion for knowledge keeps me curious and always learning, which helps me stay in tune with the latest insights in mental health.
I am a firm believer that no one knows more about your life than you do—you are the author of your story. My role is to support you as you write your next chapter or even change the title altogether. My approach to therapy is grounded in sincerity, client-driven methods, and evidence-based practices. I strive to create an autonomous and ethical therapeutic environment where you feel supported and empowered. By building a strong, trust-based relationship, I aim to help you achieve meaningful progress and personal growth.
If you’re ready to explore your story and make it truly your own, I’m here to help guide and support you every step of the way.

Shaniqua’s approach to therapy makes me feel so at ease to talk to her. She provides a great session every time. I always walk away from the session feeling relieved and understood. I highly recommend her!

Shaniqua uses an approach that encourages me to be me in the sessions. The use of an informal method of communication allows for a more authentic interaction. That provides me with a comfortable space in our sessions.

Shaniqua is such an amazing listener and has assisted with guiding me with difficulties as they arise. She circles back on things I may have said in previous sessions, making sure no stone is left unturned. I honestly don’t know what I would do without her or Better Help. Thank you, Shaniqua. You are greatly appreciated
