I just finished my last session with Shantelle on the one year anniversary that I started meeting with her. I am stopping because I know I am in a far better place than I was a year ago. She helped me realize my strengths and was there as I was able to find my weaknesses. She didn’t tell me what she knew I needed to hear, she let me figure it out on my own with resources. I am so grateful to her and the way that she’s speaks in analogies but also in real life. I had been matched to a few other counselors in previous years but never started sessions. I’m glad that I got matched with her and actually began the weekly sessions. I can’t imagine what this last year would have been like without our talks. From going through a breakup and healing from past trauma to learning how to set healthy boundaries and thriving in a new relationship. She celebrated with me and she mourned with me and I couldn’t have asked for a better counselor.

She is amazing!! She makes you think outside of your box. Every session we have dove into what I have needed, and I am grateful for her listening ear. She listens to your concerns, and unpacks it with you. Not overbearing as other past counselors have been. She breaks things down in simple terms, but so helpful. It does not come across as she knows more, it comes across as a friend/support person.

Shantelle has been extremely helpful and insightful since our first session. I've met with other therapists before where it took me some time to get comfortable and open up. I am so grateful for my experience with Shantelle! She is incredibly perceptive and extremely understanding. A great therapist not only is a great listener but they ask you questions to propel your self-discovery and help empower you to be successful in your own life.
I never feel judged by Shantelle. She allows me to be open and honest and I know that anything I share with her stays with her. Being vulnerable is very difficult for me and Shantelle does a phenomenal job of creating a safe space to share my life and do the work to improve it the way I need to. She never "tells" me what to do and allows me to use our time in a way that will benefit me the most from session to session.

When one starts therapy, they worry about whether or not they will click with their therapist. I have been to therapy before but never felt like it was helping or that I got much out of the sessions. That is NOT the case with Shantelle! Shantelle has been a light that has radiated through the dark cloud I carry with me. I sought out therapy due to issues related to past trauma, low self esteem, depression/anxiety and since I started seeing Shantelle I feel as though I have made progress. Shantelle is very attentive and excellent at what she does, I have never been made to feel bad for my thoughts and feelings. She helps me to understand the way in which I have been weaponizing my own past experiences against myself and not allowing myself to grow emotionally. I thought I had my problems figured out but now, thanks to Shantelle, I have realized that I have been using superficial means to cope which has left me empty inside. Now with her help, I am making the steps to grow in much more substantial and meaningful ways. I always look forward to my sessions with Shantelle, she is AMAZING at what she does and knows how to challenge your reasoning in a way that is both respectful and effective. 10/10, 5 stars, Shantelle has helped me in a way that no other therapist/counselor has been able to before.

I have only been seeing Shantelle Wells for about a little over a month now and wow has she helped me! The contrast from the first day we met to where I am now is so great. She has been helping me learn new coping skills, like thought switching which has worked very well for me. Also, she has helped me write out goals that I want to achieve and reasonable steps to take to get there. She is so sweet, kind, and supportive! She always makes sure I’m comfortable with everything like how we meet, when we meet, what we talk about, what worksheets get assigned, and all that. I seriously would 10/10 recommend her to anyone who is struggling with anxiety and/or struggling with lack of motivation. I was in a really bad place when I first met her and I am slowly but surely coming out of the rut and I feel so much better. I cannot wait to see where the rest of this journey takes me!
