Sharie Scott, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) Certification. I proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years. During my military career I gained a wealth of knowledge working with sailors suffering from addictions, depression, trauma, and other life challenges. My military experience coupled with my 10 years of community counseling has exposed me to the devastating struggles individuals face. Therefore, my passion is building collaborative counseling relationships to help individuals heal and thrive to reach their highest possible potential.
My theoretical orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (CBT) and Solution-Focused Based Therapy (SFBT). Both approaches focus on solutions to empower individuals to improve their quality of life. The human mind is extremely complex. Therefore, an eclectic approach is often needed. CBT and SFBT are approaches that are ideal for integrating with other approaches as needed. My mission is to provide a safe, judgmental free, supportive environment in which individuals can heal.
My degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, Master of Arts in Special Education from Phoenix University, Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling (Marriage and Family) from Liberty University, and Educational Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University.

Sharie is the most encouraging, supportive therapist. She remembers my goals, and in later sessions gently nudges me to work towards them. Each session takes me closer to where I wanted to be. She teaches me tools for dealing with anxiety and stressful life issues that I can use easily. Excellent partner in healing!

She's an awesome therapist and understands what I'm going through. Doesn't judge how I act, I love it when she told me that I'm not toxic I'm just expressive :)
