About me

Hello-

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in the helping profession for 8 years.

When I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 1996, I worked as a worker’s compensation adjuster for 12 years. The money was great, but I hated working in that field. Eventually, the company I was working for downsized, so I was laid off. From there, I was lost and didn’t know what to do. Should I continue to stay in the same line of work for the next 12 years, dreading to get out of the bed every day for the money, or should I find a career that will help me utilize my own personal experiences and education to make a difference in the lives of others? I chose to follow my heart. When I took my first counseling class, I knew being a counselor was my calling in life. This is what I was born to do. I realized the most important thing in the world is not how much money you make; it’s about enjoying the work you do. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I don’t enjoy making money, but I know I wasn’t happy. Being a counselor makes me feel alive, full of hope, and purpose. Educating clients on how to manage their mood disorders, stressors, or providing guidance to some of the most difficult challenges in a person’s life is what I live for.

I want you to know that I am here for you. We can face life’s challenges together.

Sincerely,

Sharon Esters

Great person, very understanding, and has helped me with many situations. Overall I feel better about myself and have actually grown in the short amount of time of coming to her sessions and putting in the work.

She is amazing at what she does and she made me feel comfortable from the beginning. I had a couple of therapists before her and she is by far the best one! I love our sessions!
