Sharon Jenkins, LCSW
About me
Hello! Whatever brought you here to consider a counseling relationship, you have taken a courageous step. If you choose me as your therapist, I will help you work toward overcoming your stumbling blocks. I can help with whatever your issues are, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or substance use. I will always be real with you, and we will work together in a way that makes you feel safe. My approach is strengths based, client centered and solution focused.
A little about me: I grew up in North Carolina with three brothers. I graduated from the University of NC at Chapel Hill with degrees in Psychology and Clinical Social Work. I moved to Georgia, became licensed as an LCSW, and I've been helping people for over 20 years.
Outside of work, my greatest blessing is my young adult son, who is a recent Air Force veteran. I value my friends, family and faith. I have two dogs and a cat. I love to walk or hike, eat out, and listen to music. I especially love the beach!
I believe you are the expert of your own life. If you choose me as your therapist, we will work toward accomplishing your goals together. My clients tell me that I am calming, genuine, encouraging and trustworthy. It would be an honor to join you in your healing journey. Whatever your decision, I wish you all the best.

I feel very lucky to have been matched up with the perfect therapist for me on the first try. I need someone to listen to me and participate in conversation as well as someone who can help me set goals for myself. Sharon is perfect for me. She’s a great listener and we share some of the issues that life doles out so she truly understands. Thanks Better Help and thanks Sharon!

Ms. Jenkins has given me a new second wind in my life by helping me heal any and all unresolved traumas and feelings across the board. She has been most helpful and honest with me even when it’s answers I wasn’t expecting or wanting to hear. I’m grateful to have her as my therapist.
