About me

I am an independently licensed social worker in both Ohio (LISW) and Kentucky (LCSW) as well as a PhD in social work. I have 25 years of experience working as a therapist, clinical leader and teacher and strive to learn something new each day. I have worked with patients with a variety of challenges including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, mood swings, psychotic episodes, parenting and relationship challenges and attention and focus difficulties. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse and serve first responders who need assistance following traumatic events.

My therapy style is welcoming and inquisitive. I believe in treatment which focuses on finding solutions to troubling symptoms and holistic approaches without judgement or labels. My approach combines a variety of methods including strengths based, person centered, brief solution focused, cognitive-behavioral, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma focused work. I will listen to you to gain information about what you are experiencing and work with you to develop a plan that is focused on minimizing or alleviating troubling symptoms and experiences that you are having which negatively impact your quality of life.

Congratulations in taking the first step in finding someone to guide you on this journey. I look forward to working with you!
