Shauna Allen, LCMHC
About me
I empower clients to overcome personal obstacles through the use of clinically tested evidenced practices. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor with a concentration in marriage and family therapy with over 9 years of experience. I have worked with children, families, and adults in a variety of settings and have created many outlets to help others gain enrichment. I specialize in perinatal mental health and fertility impairment.
I have a masters degree in community counseling with a concentration in marriage and family therapy. Over my years of experience I have expanded my practice to include EMDR, Brainspotting, and Cognitive behavioral therapy.
When working with clients I consider myself like a cheerleader, cheering you on to find your way through the storm. Navigating obstacles in our lives can be very difficult at times however, I offer a fresh perspective with the insight and encouragement you need to power forward. In counseling, I use a treatment modality that seems to best suit you starting with person centered therapy and utilizing CBT and trauma informed practices. I also teach you the importance of self-care and share tips and techniques to expand that practice. Most of all, I offer a listening ear to hear and validate your emotions and thoughts in a situation and help you build a plan to facilitate moving forward. Therapy can be fun, simple, and easy in session with me and I work with you where you stand in this moment.

Shauna is incredible, pick her. She will listen to you and understand where you're coming from. She draws from her own experiences and deep expertise and is able to almost decipher what it is that is happening in your thought process and behavior and help you out. What I most appreciate about Shauna is the fact that she is not afraid to really and honestly offer the right advice. She asks the right questions at the appropriate times too. You will feel her mission and purpose permeate her actions, and the purpose is for you to live an awesome you, and be happy. I am still working with her trying to figure things out, and I thought I had a lot figured out until I vocalized it to Shauna and saw ways in how I can improve. Go ahead and give her a try! you wont be sorry. Good luck! She wont give up easily on you either, that was my biggest concern! She came through for me and I'm sure she will come through for you.

Things got out of hand all of a sudden but Shauna followed up after I took more time than usual to respond to her. I appreciated the attention and she’s been great at guiding me. I can only recommend her.
