About me

Hello I'm Sherry Graves- LCSW, CADC11, I believe my personal experiences has contributed to my own healing journey and that's what makes me a Survivor. So I'm looking forward to connecting with individuals who are also ready to jump into their healing journey and start living beyond their scars. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. I earned my master's degree from Long Island University in New York City, in 2006. I've worked in the field of mental health and substance abuse the past 20 years in a variety of settings to name a few, the NYC Dept. for the Aging Elderly Crime Victims Resource Center; at Residential Substance Abuse Programs, Drug Court, Grady Assertive Community Team (Act Team), & hospitals. I've worked with interdisciplinary teams including, the Dept. of Family & Children Services (DFACS), Mobile Crisis, Psychiatrists, Doctors, the courts, Law Enforcement to meet the needs of the clientele we serve. I work with adolescents, young adults and the elderly. I specialize in Self- Esteem & Empowerment, Trauma, Codependency, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Substance Abuse & Women's Issues. My counseling approaches include, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Spirituality Counseling, Person-Centered Therapy.
