About me

Difficult times and unexpected life changes happen. Relationships struggle and sometimes end. Losses of all kinds happen. Hurt, stress, grief and anxiety are often a result. Counseling is a powerful asset to help you navigate these in order to reach healing and growth. You do not have to walk this alone. I can help you understand your situation, cope and move through it productively.

My name is Shevene Bryant, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor for North Carolina. My undergraduate degree was in Psychology. My graduate degree is in Counseling. My background is work in Mental health centers, hospitals, and private practice settings. I have over 25 years of counseling experience with individuals, couples, children, teens, and family.

I am the author of a child's book called Emotions. I have a great passion for the work I do. I offer a warm and empathetic personality to help meet your goals. I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, BDD, eating disorders, depression, grief, loss, life transitions, trichotillomania, abuse, and trauma. I use a person-centered, multicultural, and integrative approach in treatment. This means I begin where you are and tailor the treatment approach to your needs. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I decided to try something different and give therapy a try and I am glad I found Shevene! She’s professional but still very personable. With this being my first time with therapy, she was very patient and helped walk me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable and confident with talking things out. I would definitely recommend Shevene’s services to others!

Shevene is so easy to talk to. It doesn't feel like therapy. Feels like I am talking to a friend.

She’s amazing. Patient. A great listener and doesn’t “force” anything. She’s a “comfortable place” for me.
