Shirley Nedock, LPC
About me
My professional experience includes working with our military services members and their dependents working through deployments, suicide, multiple relocation's, marital issues, PTSD and other issues that military families face. In addition, I have worked with families individuals, teens and children on multiple issues such as depression, anxiety, family issues, divorce, substance abuse, anger management, grief and loss, parenting skills, domestic violence and adolescent issues.
I know that making the decision to contact a therapist can be difficult for some and my goal is to make the process as welcoming as possible. My approach to therapy is solution-focused and collaborative. You will find that sessions are more like a warm interactive conversation.
I believe that everyone is motivated to succeed given the right tools in a safe and warm comfortable environment. I tend to use cognitive behavioral therapy or solution focused therapy to help people overcome irrational and/or unhealthy thought patterns. I would love to help you overcome obstacles in your life and move forward. I look forward to working with you.
