I have many years of experience working with those with mental health issues such as depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, and ADHD. It is so helpful to have someone to talk things through after having gone through trauma. My viewpoints are often off , because my perspectives often come out of a place of woundedness. She is so good at supporting me and helping to evaluate my mindsets and thinking patterns that keep in in an unhealthy place.

Shonda is literally my first positive experience with counseling. I’ve tried seeing others before, but I’ve always found myself not committing to sessions. My previous experiences with counselors have felt very sterile and methodical. With Shonda, she creates a really safe environment, is clear and kind about things that are tough to hear from others (which I super need), and relates to me as a human. I’ve only had a few sessions with her thus far, but I’m looking forward to all the potential rabbit holes we’ll be diving into that I’ve been wanting to talk with someone about for so long.
