Dr. Stephanie Ferguson, LPCC
About me
I am licensed in New Mexico with 5 years of professional work experience helping my clients discover and leverage their strengths while addressing identified challenges. I have experience in helping clients with motivation, anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem and confidence, relationship issues, parenting, career and education challenges, coping with life changes, and life coaching.
My passion is helping others recognize and reach their potential. For the last 30 years, I have done that through my work in education. However, since earning my Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree, I have been working in my rural community to provide much-needed mental health services.
I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania...if you've never had the pleasure of visiting the area, watch the movie Witness with Harrison Ford. Quite a bit of it was shot in my hometown. Of course, like many people, I did not appreciate the uniqueness of my upbringing while growing up there. As a military wife, I have lived in quite a few places across the country and do my best to bloom wherever I am planted!
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I take an eclectic approach to counseling--getting to know my clients and meeting them where they are. Then, drawing from multiple therapy approaches, we collaboratively develop a plan to meet those needs.
Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. If you are ready, I am here to support you in that process. I look forward to working with you.

My experience working with Dr.Ferguson has been incredibly rewarding and enjoyable. She created a very safe space to open up about what I otherwise might not have been able to with others. Her care, compassion, personability and passion in helping others made me feel like I had my own personal cheerleader. The check-in’s, the conversations, and all of the resources that she has given me over the last year really helped me understand myself better and come back to the person that I wanted to be. Dr.Ferguson’s approach really allowed me to understand what and why I might have been feeling a certain way, while her suggestions and resources were things I could always come back to.
Dr.Ferguson will always have a special place in my heart for the work she does and how she has helped me come back to myself. I strongly recommend working with Dr.Ferguson.
