About me

Hi there! Kudos to you for reaching out for support! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Missouri, with over 12 years of experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I got my BSW from Oakland University and my MSW from Wayne State University. My past job experiences include medical social work in a hospital setting and home health. I have been working as a telehealth therapist based in Missouri since 2020. My areas of focus include issues relating to grief and loss, adjusting to illness, life changes, family/relationship conflict, stress and anxiety, self-esteem, and addiction. I am an eclectic therapist who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness. I'm here to teach you coping skills to help you help yourself. Together we will explore your past experiences and analyze your thoughts to help you get to know yourself as much as possible. I will be your nonjudgmental cheerleader on your journey of overcoming personal challenges and reaching goals!

When I'm not working, I love reading, traveling, movies, music, martial arts, gardening, and playing with my french bulldogs. YOLO is my personal motto!

I applaud you for reaching out for support! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you live your best life :)

I wasn’t sure how chat therapy would work, but it keeps me on track to deal with the necessary subjects. I really like it. Stephanie is great at understanding the issues, provided the right support and advice, and I really trust her. Thank you Stephanie!

Written on Jul 01, 2024 after therapy with Stephanie for 1 year and 2 months on issues concerning depression, self esteem, career difficulties, coping with life changes, coaching, and adhd

As a long time individual effected by mental health challenges, Stephanie is hands down one of the best and most critical components of my healing. She’s patient, kind, understanding, and empathetic to the impact of these conditions in my life. I’ve tried various forms of therapy in the past, and the progress I’ve made with Stephanie and BetterHelp has given me hope that I can heal, and the confidence to believe that my story still has many chapters to be written. Thank you Stephanie!!!

Stephanie is always responsive. She listens thoughtfully and provides actionable solutions that have made my life (and my anxiety) so much easier to manage. I would highly recommend her to anyone else who is looking for a therapist who can offer anxiety management / CBT methods.
