Stephanie Powers, LISW
About me
Hello, my name is Stephanie. I am a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Social Work. I am independently licensed in the state of Ohio with 5 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. My favorite part of my job is helping create safe spaces where people can make sense of their past, find hope for their future, and begin advocating for themselves in new ways. I utilize attachment theory, motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, and elements of internal family systems therapy in my practice.
Outside of work, I love to travel, swim, and play board games. I am married and am the proud mama of two young kiddos.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Stephanie gets me. She supports and challenges me. She is the first therapist I’ve had who occasionally cites academic work to help me process things going on in my life and in my head. It has helped.
